Only about half the time does ADD/ADHD exist by itself. About 50% of kids or adults with ADD/ADHD have a co-existing disorder with the ADHD. These are also called Associated Disorders or Comorbid Disorders. These conditions are not a part of the ADD/ADHD itself and are not caused by the ADD--they are merely associated.
